Principal's Message

Welcome to Mammoth Elementary School!

At Mammoth Elementary, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, challenged, and valued. We are proud to serve an incredible community of students, families, and staff who work together every day to create a positive learning environment where all children can thrive.

Our learning focus continues to be Ponder, Persevere, and Prove It! We want students to think deeply, persevere through challenges, and confidently show what they know. As we continue our journey toward becoming a High Reliability School, our staff is committed to creating classrooms where learning is clear, engaging, and meaningful. Through learning targets, proficiency scales, and opportunities for student voice and choice, we help students understand what they are learning, what success looks like, and how they can continue to grow.

Literacy is at the heart of everything we do. Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are integrated across all subject areas, with an emphasis on vocabulary development and academic language to help all students access learning and achieve at high levels. Through our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), we work to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

We also focus on the expectations and guiding principles represented by our PAWS acronym: Practice Respect and Responsibility, Accept Others, Work to Succeed, and Show Kindness. These values help create a welcoming school culture where students learn to care for themselves, one another, and our community.

We value our partnership with families and know that students are most successful when schools and families work together. We encourage all families to update their information in the Aeries Parent Portal and stay connected through ParentSquare to receive important school and classroom communications. Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to get involved. From Husky Pups Days in August to Family University Nights, PTO events, performances, and volunteer opportunities, we invite families to be active partners in their children's education. 

As Principal of Mammoth Elementary School, I am honored to serve this amazing community where I grew up. I look forward to welcoming our returning Husky Pups and meeting those who are joining us for the first time.
