MES Ski and Snowboard Information
Mammoth Elementary School is proud to provide ski and snowboard physical education one day a week for students in grades K-5 in conjunction with Mammoth Mountain Ski & Snowboard School. Additionally, in conjunction with Mammoth Mountain Race Department, we are able to provide a Mammoth Elementary School ski and snowboard team that trains two days per week. We have a strong relationship with MMSA for those students who are involved in the Mammoth Mountain Ski and Snowboards Teams as well. Additionally, we offer a cross country ski program for students in grades 3-5.We are able to offer these amazing programs through generous donations from the Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation (MMCF) and MES PTO as well as community support and monetary donations.
Our programs at MES run from January through March, typically. A yearly calendar is available with specific start and end dates. We host a yearly informational meeting in Spanish and English to inform parents of our programs. Please see the resources below for additional information.

The cross country program runs concurrent with the Alpine/Snowboard PE program. For this program, your child does not need to get rentals. The donation is $5.00/week. We leave school by 12:05 and are on snow by 12:40. We return in time for the 2:40 bus. This is a grade 3-5 program only. Sign ups for this program will begin November 15th and forms can be picked up in the office. Returned forms need to be given to Mrs. Quirsfeld. A collection box will be available in the office. The program is first come first served. I only have room for 30 students.
