De acuerdo con el Código de Educación de California, sección 52176(b), todas las escuelas con veintiún o más estudiantes de inglés como segunda lengua (EL), sin incluir a los estudiantes reclasificados con fluidez en inglés (RFEP), deben establecer un ELAC.
El ELAC de MES tendrá la oportunidad de revisar los datos de EL a nivel del sitio y asesorar a la directora, al personal y al SSC sobre programas y servicios para EL, así como sobre el desarrollo del Plan Escolar para el Rendimiento Estudiantil (SPSA). Las reuniones de MES ELAC se llevarán a cabo en español con traducción al inglés disponible.
English Learner Advisory Committee
In accordance with the California Education Code, section 52176(b), all schools with twenty-one or more English learner (EL) students, not including Reclassified Fluent English Proficient (RFEP) students, are required to establish an ELAC.
The ELAC of MES will be given the opportunity to review site level EL data and to advise the principal, staff and SSC on programs and services for ELs as well as the development of the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). MES ELAC meetings will be held in Spanish with English translation available.
